Mushroom Rolls


* 4 boiled potatoes
* 2 slice of bread crumbled
* 1/2 tsp garam masala
* 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
* Salt to taste
* Oil for deep frying
* 4-5 Eggs

For filling

* 150 gms Mushrooms
* 1/4 cup Mint leaves (chopped)
* 1 large onion
* salt and pepper to taste


1. Boil potatoes. Grate them.
2. Add breadcrumbs, garam masala, red chili powder and salt to taste. Keep aside
3. Heat butter in a pan. Add onions and cook till they turn translucent
4. Add chopped mushrooms. Saute for 4-5 minutes
5. Add mint, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and remove from heat
6. Divide the potato mixture into 8 balls.
7. Flatten each potato ball and stuff it with the mushroom mixture.
8. Lift the sides and seal the mixture and shape it into a oblong roll.
9. Beat egg whites and keep in a bowl.
10. Dip the rolls into the egg whites followed by breadcrumbs and coat evenly.
11. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry them into golden brown.
12. Serve with tomato ketchup or Mint chutney.
